Paolo Di Canio one for the future?

What does the future hold for Paolo? His first year in management was a dream start winning the League 2 title with Swindon. This year Paolo and his team are finding the going in League 1 a little tougher, albeit they are in a play off position. Early days, but if he wins a successive promotion his personal stock will rise substantially. We all know that Paolo wears his heart on his sleeve. His passion and will to win can bring out the best and worst in him. And, as some of his Swindon players have found to their cost, he doesn’t suffer prima donnas or fools gladly. Although he is charismatic, he is also autocratic. This is fine whilst he is managing jobbing professionals who are playing for contracts and in order to earn a living. Would his current management style serve him well if he stepped up to the Championship or Premier League where he would be managing a different class of player? One thing with Paolo, you always know you will get 100% commitment although misguided at times. On the other side of the coin you have his volatile Latin temperament which at times lets him down. If Paolo can channel his commitment and will to win in the right direction whilst at the same time harnessing his volatile temperament, I believe he will have a great future in management. At this time I feel the jury is still out and it will take one or two more successful seasons before a bigger club than Swindon is prepared to take a chance and appoint him as their manager. Personally, I hope he continues building on his current success and one day becomes manager at our beloved West Ham. One thing’s for sure, there will never be a dull moment. Unlike the last couple of seasons
