I’m The Boss: Same Again Please!

It was never in doubt was it! What a great result on Saturday at last a performance full of guts and determination saw West Ham over the line against Chelsea who for the most part were largely ineffective. Moyes got his tactics absolutely spot on restricting the flow of Chelsea’s midfield and largely restricting the West London side to speculative long distance efforts.

In defence West Ham were calm and composed with Ogbonna and Reid in particular outstanding, despite our lack of possession West Ham were always a threat going forward thanks to Antonio and Arnautovic’s directness. A special mention has to go to Masuaku who was outstanding and of course our captain the much maligned Noble who covered more ground than anyone else.

For all the celebrations it is just one game and so Arsenal come into focus, they have injuries and have played away from home a day later than West Ham so that may help us. I see West Ham needing a very similar performance which is a huge ask but again a positive start will mean the fans will get behind the side under the lights. Although I don’t think he will start but Andy Carroll will have a part to play in this game, he has a good record against Arsenal he could be the perfect impact sub.

It would be hard to make changes after such a performance so as long as everyone has a full bill of health then we go again, I would take another 1-0 win if you are offering but any sort of result will be a great boost to the club. West Ham fans are often seen as demanding, I disagree they demand effort and fight and the players to show they care about the club as much they do, they showed it on Saturday now they must do it again on Wednesday.
