Why I feel Noble is the problem

Mark Noble

Due to the difficult start to the season West Ham fans have all had their own opinion of how we can make it better and who is to blame. Every fan has different views on what players haven’t done great for the team in the last few games. Our focus has been on the midfield because there isn’t much to talk about up front and our defence is solid as usual. A lot of conversation has been about Kevin Nolan. I don’t necessarily agree with it but I understand where they’re coming from. I think we should discuss another midfield player, our local boy Mark Noble.

Mark noble is a key hammer and is loved by a lot of people in the club, including me but if we’re questioning players he has to be included. I feel he’s not had much impact this season and the impact he has had hasn’t always been great. He scored a good penalty against Everton and we expect no less of him when he takes them, but apart from that he seems to be getting himself into a bit of trouble and making decisions in desperation. His second yellow card against Everton wasn’t necessary. We do have good defenders that could have and probably would have stopped the ball but he went for it anyway and got sent off. Luckily for us he could miss the Capital One Cup game so it didn’t have a massive effect.  Another point is that his free kicks have been shocking and we should really be doing our best to score from them when everyone’s there because it’s our best chance and he isn’t making the most of them opportunities.

It wouldn’t hurt to get someone else to take them, to get a bit of creativity back. Of course if he did sit out for a bit we would need a solution, and I think to make Nolan play a little bit deeper and put Ravel further forward could work well. I hope West Ham improve soon and I’ll always have faith in the club.
