Michail Antonio is a player who has received his fair share of criticism this season.

But after his short cameo against Burnley at the weekend, Antonio received praise from West Ham fans on social media.

The 28-year-old has been at West Ham for a while now and was previously a fans’ favourite.

Antonio was famous for his powerful and direct runs from the wing, throwing himself on the end of crosses and terrorising defences with his pace and strength.

However, this season, he has struggled to replicate his previous form and his work rate has been questioned by West Ham supporters.

But a piece of innovative skill could convince West Ham fans that Antonio still has something to give.

With West Ham 3-2 up against Burnley in injury time, they were hoping the Clarets did not strike a third equaliser.

And it was West Ham who grabbed the fourth goal, created by two recently criticised players.

Felipe Anderson, full of confidence after scoring twice, sent a long ball towards Antonio.

And the West Ham attacker had the frame of mind to chest it into the path of Javier Hernandez, who slotted past Joe Hart.

Antonio posted the clip on Twitter with the caption: “Say it with your chest.” Here is what West Ham fans made of that.
