After a poor start to the season, Manuel Pellegrini reintroduced Arthur Masuaku to the West Ham side in place of Aaron Cresswell after the last international break.
It worked a treat; the Congolese defender added energy on the left flank and gave the struggling Cresswell some respite; whether it was the readjustment to playing left-back after a spell at centre-half last season or just a slow start, the Englishman was underperforming.
However, Masuaku’s place may soon come under threat. He was the man who let Glenn Murray run free at Brighton a week ago; allowing the veteran striker to waltz in and net the only goal of the game.
The international week tends to be slow news-wise; so the West Ham official Twitter account posted a video feature with the defender about what’s on his phone at present.
Generally harmless stuff. But after his error cost the club last time out, some fans jumped on the post to suggest what Masuaku might need on there…
No idea but I wish he would stop checking it when opposition centre forwards are running in to the 6 yard box unmarked!
